Held position of Vice President & Senior Vice President responsible for Quality Assurance Product & Market Development which included Customer Service. These positions were held at Sunflag Iron & Steel Co. & Usha Martin Ltd. where the association totalled about 15 years including several extensions beyond superannuation. Was responsible for establishing & maintaining the Quality Systems & Procedures towards achieving excellence in quality & service to OEM level Auto & Auto Ancillaries. Product and market development and triggering collaborative efforts with Japanese Steel Majors was a major achievement. These included obtaining approvals from major Japanese Auto & Automotive component manufacturers. Both companies had an annual sale of about Rs.1500 Crs.

Senior Manager & General Manager- Quality Assurance of several companies that desired incorporation of Quality Systems and product enrichment. Main responsibility was to establish modern quality assurance procedures and introduction of robust & repeatable performance at leading alloy and special steel end users. Over a period of about 10 years the association was with Vardhman Special Steel Ltd. and Bihar Alloy & Steels Ltd. where both companies had desire to establish themselves as leading players in the growing field of automotive grade steels in the country. The companies associated with were producing about 100000 t/y of special & alloy steel per year.

Assistant Manager / Manager& DY GM in various companies involved in establishing new product and development of niche markets . These include Modi Steels and Oswal steels and had a sales of about 50,000t/y individually but desired higher value added products and presence in the alloy and specialty steel market. New companies like Madhya Pradesh Iron & Steel for its market development team as a Dy GM responsible for product development & establishment of the credentials of the company at various Original Equipment Companies . This association was for about 7 years.

Involved in Research & Development /Education & Academics for about 12 years. Was offered an US research assistantship, immediately after graduation in 1963. The research was awarded the MS& PhD degrees from the University of Illinois ,USA. This was followed by industry sponsored post-doctoral work in super alloy turbine grade material . Was responsible to establish the Materials Science Department at the Phalavi University –Iran during 1977-1980.
