Worked at SAIL-IISCO STEEL PLANT, BURNPUR, From Oct’1976 to Dec’2012 (36 Years- 2 Months) and RETD. as GENERAL MANAGER (PROJECTS). Worked as head of Maintenance section of Blast Furnaces and its ancillary units, Steel Melting Shop Mechanical Maintenance section, Capital Repairs, Rolling mills complex etc. Headed multidisciplinary team of Mechanical / Metallurgical / Electrical / Civil and Instrumentation Engineers as Chief Coordinator during the Relining and Re-building of Blast Furnaces, Twin Hearth Furnaces, Re-heating Furnaces and Mill major repairs. Installed & Commissioned Ingot Mould preparation Foundry, Mould Preparation bay etc using in house resources. Undertaken Capital Repairs of Coke Oven By- product Plant & Machinery, Material Handling units, Gas cleaning Plant, Pig casting M/C, Week end repair, Major Repair of Soaking pits & Rolling Mills etc. Repaired and Replaced Gas, Water and Pneumatic pipe lines. Dismantled, Repaired & Re- erected EOT Cranes etc.

Worked as General Manager (Projects) & was overseeing the Structural Packages for     BOF-CCP-LDCP-ROLLING MILLS & REHEATING FURNACES in the SAIL-ISP-2.5 MT New Stream Expansion Project of IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur. I have handled contract of about Rs 925 Crores in the Rs 16000 Crores Modernization & Expansion Project. I was Responsible for Contract Management, Project Monitoring and Planning, Coordination with Civil/ Equipment/ Consultant & Executing agencies, Resolving interface issues, Ensure Safety at work place, Resolving payment issues of executing agencies etc. with an objective of completion of all activities related to structural erection and sequential handover of fronts for equipment erection for facilitating of cold trial & commissioning of plant and equipment’s.

Worked as CONSULTANT at SAIL- IISCO STEEL PLANT, from Jan’ 2013 onwards for overseeing the Construction and commissioning activities of upcoming new plant.

Worked as Head Project In-charge of Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited (HSCL) and was responsible for finalization of technical specification, estimation, project evaluation, order procurement, preparation of tender documents, execution of projects, construction and capital repairs etc of Steel, Mining, Railways and Infrastructural projects as head of Bokaro and Durgapur Unit since May’2013 and handled projects worth almost Rs 600 crores with annual turnover of Rs160 crores.
